Welcome to K-Hair Studio
Thanks for stopping by. Opened at the end of 2012 K-Hair Studio is London’s newest underground hair salon. The brain child of international hair stylist Keiichiro Hirano, we offer a relaxed and friendly space for like-minded ladies and gentlemen to have their hair cut, coloured or styled by one of London’s leading editorial hair stylists. Due to Keiichiro’s editorial and commercial schedule K-Hair Studio is only open for hair appointments on weekends. Advance booking is advisable.
Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Keiichiro’s dream was always to become a hair stylist and to this end he began training full time when he was just 17. After learning and developing his trade in his home town he moved to London in 2002 to further his passion and career as a session hair stylist. Although he was a well established artist in Japan, when he came to London Keiichiro had “little English” and so he had to work his way up again. Inspired by London’s creativity and the underground life he spent time developing his editorial skills. His editorial work has since appeared across the globe in publications such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Tatler, Sunday Times, Tush, and GQ. Keiichiro likes to focus on combining texture with an edgy elegance. He has developed a reputation in Europe for his sculptural forms, bringing dynamic elements to the brief. He loves working with people, drawing his inspiration from the many new and interesting characters he comes into contact with through his work. Previous ad campaigns include Body Shop, Harrods, Boodle, GHD, Virgin, Sony, Loreal, Clairol, Vivienne Westwood, Fred Perry, and Calvin Klein. He has worked with some of the most respected photographers in the industry such as Rankin, Norman Watson, Graeme Montgomery and Tim Brett Day. Keiichiro has also showcased his talents at fashion shows for Romina Karemanea and Oswald Boateng. Keiichiro is currently London based and is constantly inspired by the sense of freedom that London can afford artists creatively and in life.
